A bright, orange-pink sunrise at the Buffalo River at where the South Park bridge crosses it. The trees are black and shadowed.

The local elections make more sense to me, reflecting the values of people I see every day. The federal ones? I apparently cannot relate to the dreams and desires of an awful lot of people.

It’s a big country.

I’m furrowing my brow and stifling my imagination in favor of taking my next breath.

There’s only one way to live and one thing to do. Take everything day by day, one step at a time. Do the next right thing. And the right thing after that. Find your people and hold them close. We are never alone.
